Q: What qualifications do you need to work as a Psychiatrist in Australia and New Zealand?

The great news is Psychiatrists can work in Australia or New Zealand. If you are an IMG based in the USA you will need a Certificate from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. If you are based in Canada Fellowship in Psychiatry or Certificate in Psychiatry from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons Canada. If you are based in the UK/Ireland, you will need the MRCPsych combined with the CCT (or CCST or JCHMT as appropriate).
